How to report a bug?

Please note: If there's is a problem with a dictionary entry (e.g. pinyin, definition) or missing entry, please read this instead.
  1. Go to Hanping's Settings > About > Legal Notices screen.
  2. Tap on the first item (e.g. Hanping Chinese Dictionary) 7 times. You should see a message like Debug Settings enabled
  3. Enable Settings > Write Logs to File preference
  4. Now reproduce the problem in Hanping
  5. Long-tap on the Settings > Write Logs to File preference. This should allow you to send the logs to us.

Notes

  • For Hanping Popup: the main screen is the Settings screen
  • If you have found a problem with a dictionary entry (e.g. pinyin error, or inaccurate/incomplete definition) please submit this directly to the editors of that dictionary (rather than reporting to us) because they are better suited to evaluating submissions. See How to report a dictionary error for the relevant links.
  • If you just want to send your device and app version details please send us an email from within Hanping's: Settings > About screen > Support email because this will automatically attach the appropriate information.
